Meet the Mentors
Marina Han – Founder, President, Mentor
Marina is a current sophomore in high school in Northeast Ohio. She has played violin for 8+ years and it has been one of her core passions for her whole life. She also played piano for around 5 years, but later stopped to focus more on violin. She is a 2nd-year member of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra (COYO), one of the most advanced youth orchestras in the nation. She plays in her school’s advanced orchestra program, named Sinfonia.
Since Marina started playing violin from early elementary school, she’s passionate about helping fellow violinists form foundational techniques and skills to grow.
AWARDS:
1st Place – 2025 Aurora Young Arts: Strings (Division VI)
2nd Place – 2026 Sigma Alpha Iota Cleveland Strings Competition
1st Place – 2026 Lakeland Civic Orchestra Young Artists Competition (Senior Division)
Christopher Wei – Vice President, Mentor
Christopher Wei is currently attending his sophomore year at Solon High School. Because he started off as a pianist, he was able to build a musical foundation before ultimately committing to the Violin. His time spent with the violin totals 6+ years, including the attendance of private musical-theory classes, quartets, and more. This year will be his second-year playing in the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra (COYO) , as well as Solon High School’s Sinfonia Orchestra.
His high school experience primarily resides within the second-violin section. Last year, he played as 3rd stand in Ohio’s Regional Orchestra as well as assistant principal in Ohio’s All-State Orchestra. This year will be his second year attending both orchestras.
That being said, Christopher is happily open to helping anyone, of any age. To him, music a good model for life; because amidst the hardships, all that matters is you’re willing to ask for help.
